The political machinery behind Scott Walker

As early as 2006, Scott Walker was running for Governor of Wisconsin, but it wasn't until 2009 that Americans for Prosperity (AFP) moved in to back the candidate, roughly a year before the Supreme Court ruled on the Citizens United v. FEC case.

Something odd is happening now, however. While other candidates have since moved on from appealing to donors and switched their messages to appeal to the public at-large, it seems Walker is still making appeals to rich donors. He's still on his messages about Food Stamp Drug Testing, dismantling unions like AFSCME,

The vast majority of national voters aren't white rural Wisconsin conservative farmers or local business owners. He's planning on campaigning in

According to the Washington Post, Walker wants to eliminate the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB),

The strange thing is at Scott Walker backed out of a California GOP event to campaign in early primary states, which makes me wonder if he's still supported by Americans for Prosperity.
